3 Phase Testing
 

	Very few Testing and Tagging companies using standard Portable Appliance testers have the capability to test 3 phase systems to the requirements of the standard.
	The Standard, AS/NZS 3760:2003, does not specifically mention the method of 3 Phase testing, however it does state “2.3.3.2 Testing of Insulation (b) Note Insulation resistance tests shall be performed with the switch in the ON position.  If the equipment must be energised to close or operate a switching device then a leakage test shall be performed”.
	ATS are able to accurately test 3 Phase appliances using customised test equipment.
