With the harmonised WHS regulations currently being evaluated prior to implementation, Western Australia’s OSH regulations currently detail the electrical safety requirements for workplaces in WA.

The current WA OSH regulations state workplaces must take a risk management approach with all portable electrical equipment in the workplace to determine the type and frequency of inspection, test and tag.  ATS highly recommends that the inspection and testing frequencies set are in accordance with AS/NZS 3760:2010 and we have included a summary of the requirements of this Standard here.

RCD’s in Western Australia are required to be tested regularly in accordance with AS/NZS 3760:2022 to ensure to ensure their tripping time is within the stated tolerances of AS/NZS 3760:2022.  We have prepared a summary of the recommended inspection and testing frequencies for Western Australia here based on AS/NZS 3760:2022.
