Manufacturing Work
Test and Tag - Double Insulated Items
- 12 monthly
- Double and Single Insulated items must be protected by a fixed electrical safety switch
Test and Tag - Single Insulated Items
- 6 monthly
- Double and Single Insulated items must be protected by a fixed safety switch
Fixed RCD Test
- 6 monthly Push Button test
- 12 monthly Operating Time Test
Portable RCD Test
- Daily or before each use Push Button test
- 12 monthly Operating Time Test
- Portable RCD’s are not to be used as a primary RCD in Manufacturing Work
Service Work
Test and Tag
- 12 monthly OR all circuits protected by a safety switch
Fixed RCD Test
- 6 monthly Push Button test
- 12 monthly Operating Time Test
Portable RCD Test

In QLD all testing can be conducted by a Competent Person however the Competent Person must also hold a Registered Electrical Contractors Licence.
